Commissioner briefs Rotary on new municipal campus plans

Commissioner Bob Gillies and Rotary President Mike Creeden.

Springfield Township Commissioner, Bob Gillies, visited the Springfield Township Rotary to update Rotarians on the Municipal Campus Plan for Springfield Township.

The plan, which has been 10 years in the making, is designed to meet the current needs of the Township plus some. They include:

  • a far larger library
  • safer Public Works department
  • creating more modernized buildings for both Police and Administration
  • more inviting entrance for the community with public areas and green space

The Township hopes to receive grants towards the building of the new library to help off set costs.

For more information, attend one of the monthy Municipal Campus Advisory Committee meetings, or view the information they have available on Township website.
