You have better things to DO than get the FLU

FluShotIt’s that time of year again. Get ahead of the flu season by getting your flu vaccine NOW. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommend that everyone older than 6 months get a flu shot before the end of October. This year, they recommend ONLY getting the injectable shot, not the nasal spray vaccine.

Be Proactive

Not only can a flu shot protect you from getting the flu, it can prevent you from spreading the flu to others. While our schools are offering them to students for free, it is also important for adults to get them, too. Think about getting vaccinated before you visit grandparents, new babies, and pregnant friends who are at an even higher risk of contracting the flu.

Visit your doctor or show your insurance card at a local participating pharmacy like Acme Sav-on, Giant, CVS, RiteAid, or Walgreens to get your flu shot at no cost to you!

The flu vaccine takes about two weeks to be effective, so don’t wait until it’s too late. Visit the CDC website for more information about this flu season.
